Highly Distributed Digital Signage Installations

STRATACACHE has worked with digital signage customers from global 2,000 enterprises. For instance, STRATACACHE’s role and technology in AT&T Mobility’s digital signage initiatives in 2007 won the company two awards for best retail application of digital signage. During the 2008 Digital Signage Expo, STRATACACHE and AT&T were collectively awarded a 2008 DIGI Award and a Digital Signage and Interactive Technology Award for implementing digital signage in AT&T’s Experience Stores and as part of new product kiosks in 1,840 AT&T Mobility stores.

STRATACACHEAT&T Mobility’s digital signage installations began in March 2007 with the launch of its first Experience Store in Houston. The Experience Store came to life through guided selling kiosks (GSKs) powered by STRATACACHE ActiVia for Media, which drives content onto 32" flat screen displays.

The AT&T Experience Stores house ten zones, each with one or two digital signs that display content ranging from games and ringtones to mobile productivity. The GSKs include a 19" touchscreen self-service device with the 32" mounted digital sign hanging behind it. In addition, three 52" displays located in the central part of the store highlight new AT&T media offerings.

AT&T used the same technology (ActiVia) to spearhead its launch of the summer of 2007’s hottest tech product. The result was the largest single rollout of digital signage in retail of last year.

STRATACACHE currently holds business alliances with leading organizations, including IBM, AT&T, Sony, Microsoft, Verizon, Dell, EchoStar, and LG.

STRATACACHE’s Award-Winning Digital Signage Solution

STRATACACHESTRATACACHE’s award-winning digital signage software, ActiVia for Media is the software solution behind the largest digital signage rollout in retail of 2007. The STRATACACHE family of multi-platform software and network acceleration appliances is the result of an intensive study of content rich Internet and Intranet traffic patterns, and the network performance effects of this traffic in large, distributed Wide Area Network infrastructures.

STRATACACHE research and development is carried out by a core group of network engineering and software development specialists located in the company’s Dayton, Ohio headquarters and at development centers in Montreal, San Jose, Salt Lake City, and Boston.
